This project gave my 4 other group members and me free rein to create a magazine of our choice. We started by assigning roles to each member. My role was project manager, and it was my responsibility to finalize decisions and make sure everyone was on the same page and getting their work done in a timely manner. We had many topic ideas, but eventually decided on ‘self-expression,’ which allowed us to each create our own section based on a topic we were familiar with. My section was body modification, and the articles I chose fit into my topic. There was a long process of trial and error, creating sketches, and working on the computer to bring my ideas to life. Along with designing spreads for 4 articles, I also created 4 advertisements: Twinkles, Ink Box, OPI and Maybelline New York.
